Where is Aguila Ammo Made?
Aguila Ammo is proudly manufactured in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. This production facility is operated by Industrias Tecnos, established in 1961 originally under the name Cartuchos Deportivos de México. The transition to Tecnos in 1978 marked the beginning of a new era for the company, focusing extensively on the production of sporting and rimfire cartridges. This was initiated in collaboration with the American company Remington Arms, signifying a blend of expertise and tradition in ammunition manufacturing.
The Cuernavaca facility is noted for its innovative approach to ammunition production. Aguila is among the few ammunition manufacturers worldwide to utilize a 72-meter shot tower, a method highly regarded by top shotgunners for producing "truly round" pellets. This dedication to quality is further emphasized by their sourcing of premium raw materials and the production of all components in-house, excluding the powder. Aguila's commitment to excellence is demonstrated through their array of products, which includes the world's first Minishell® (1 ¾” 12-gauge Shotshell), highlighting their leadership in ammunition innovation.
This facility in Cuernavaca has been the birthplace of Aguila’s extensive ammunition range, catering to various applications including self-defense, recreational shooting, law enforcement, and military uses. As one of the largest rimfire manufacturers globally, Aguila continues to set standards in the ammunition industry, ensuring reliability, performance, and innovation from its Mexico-based manufacturing hub.
