Walther reveals Six New Handguns at TEQ Fest

Posted by Nick Miles on Sep 23, 2024

Walther enthusiasts across the nation gathered from September 20-22 for the company's TEQ (Trigger, Ergonomics, and Quality) Fest, a celebration that underscored Walther's dedication to performance and customer engagement. The event, hosted by numerous participating dealers nationwide, marked the unveiling of six innovative additions to Walther's pistol range, featuring both modernized classics and entirely new designs.

WMP SD

Breaking new ground, the WMP SD emerges as the pioneer in factory-produced semi-automatic .22 WMR pistols with a threaded barrel (1/2x28), tailor-made for suppressor attachment. Offering ballistics comparable to the 5.7 but at a fraction of the ammunition cost, this firearm promises an exciting shooting experience. The Walther WMD comes equipped for optics, includes two 15-round magazines, and two MRD adapter plates.

PDP F-SERIES PRO

Designed with versatility in mind, the PDP F-Series Pro is a 9mm duty pistol that's optics-ready and showcases Walther's F-series Dynamic Performance Trigger. Its reduced grip size and natural grip angle make it an excellent choice for those with smaller hands or seeking a concealed carry option. Additional features include an aluminum magwell and basepads. Available in 3.5" and 4" barrel lengths, this model ships with three 18-round magazines.

Walther's latest offering, the PDP F-Series PRO, comes in two variants: a compact 3.5-inch model for those prioritizing concealability, and a slightly longer 4-inch version for shooters desiring an extended sight radius.

PDP PRO-E

The Walther PDP PRO-E introduces a feature-rich, optics-ready 9mm pistol in 4" or 4.5" barrel options. It boasts a flat-faced polymer trigger shoe, aluminum magwell, and performance texturing for a reliable grip in any situation. Priced at an MSRP of $779, the PDP PRO-E comes with three 20-round magazines.

PP (Police Pistol)

After a two-decade hiatus, the iconic Walther Polizeipistole (Police Pistol) makes its triumphant return. Originally introduced in 1929 and discontinued in 2000, this double/single action pistol retains its classic safety/decocker design while benefiting from modern manufacturing techniques, enhanced materials, and improved finishes. Available in .380 and .32 ACP, with black or stainless steel finish options, each PP is accompanied by two magazines.

Walther's famouns PP is back and comes for the modern era in a few different configurations: choose between the snappy .32 caliber with its generous 8+1 round capacity, or opt for the punchy .380 ACP holding 7+1.

PPK/S SD

Walther's latest iteration of the PPK/S in .32 ACP marks a milestone as the first centerfire PPK model to feature a factory-standard threaded barrel. This long-awaited addition allows enthusiasts to realize the suppressed potential that James Bond's prop gun only hinted at. Maintaining the rotating safety/decocker of its predecessor, the PPK/S SD is offered in black or stainless steel finishes and includes two 7-round magazines.

The PPK/S SD is introduced as the first PPK  model that features a factory-fitted threaded barrel.

PDP PRO-X PMM

A collaborative effort between Walther and Parker Mountain Machine has produced the PDP PRO-X PMM. This model integrates a custom compensator onto a 4" slide, seamlessly melding with a 5" frame featuring a full dust cover. It incorporates Walther's Dynamic Performance Trigger and an aluminum magwell. Buyers can choose between a full-size configuration with three 20-round magazines or a compact grip version with three 18-round magazines.
