Shipping/Refund Policy

RETURNS / EXCHANGES

Upon approval by Southern Defense, please mail your return to the following:

All returns and refunds will be issued back to the original method of payment, minus any applicable shipping/handling fees, unless the error was due to Southern Defense.

  • All products sold are new and under warranty from the manufacturer, unless otherwise stated in the product description. If a product is defective, Southern Defense will give you a full refund including shipping costs if returned within 30 days of receipt.
  • Any product, if unused/unopened/defective, may be returned within 30 days from the order date (15% Restocking Fee May Apply). If the product is unused/unopened, you may return it within 7 days for a full refund minus 5% CC Fees & packaging unless the error was due to Southern Defense.
  • A 15% restocking fee is charged for any products returned after the 7 day window.
  • Orders can not be canceled/edited once processed.
  • The customer is responsible for any return shipping fees, unless it due to an error by Southern Defense. 
  • The following items are final sale: sale and clearance items, discounted items, discontinued items, special order items, and/or cerakoted items.
  • Due to shipping and safety restrictions, absolutely no returns are allowed on ammunition and/or primers.

 

SHIPPING / DELIVERY

  • All products will ship within CONUS. Absolutely no international shipping or to addresses in Alaska, Hawaii, or any U.S. Territories.
  • Southern Defense will ship your package via USPS Priority Mail, UPS Ground, or FedEx Ground/Home Delivery Fee.
    • When appropriate, an additional Hazardous Materials Surcharge will be assessed when necessary under US DOT regulations.
    • A signature may be required on some orders and required on ALL Hazardous Materials shipments.
  • It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the shipping address provided is correct and a secure location. Southern Defense is not responsible for any theft of packages after delivery. 
  • Shipping insurance for the customers of Southern Defense by default is handled via 1-Click Protect Powered by Route (Route). 
    • If a customer chooses to opt out of Route, Southern Defense is NOT obligated to provide a refund for missing packages. Southern Defense will contact USPS/UPS/FedEX on the customer's behalf to try to recover the package. Please note that there is no guarantee that any lost package will be recovered by the shipper. 
    • If a customer who purchased Route needs to file a claim of a lost/stolen package, please visit https://claims.route.com/ to resolve any issues. 
  • Southern Defense strives to ship orders the same day when possible, however we reserve the right to take up to 5 business days to ship the orders due to high volume. 
    • When an order has been marked shipped, it means that the order has had a label and packing slip printed and is now in que to be packaged and placed out for the currier. 

Please note that any fees related to shipping/handling, processing, and insurance are NOT refundable. Southern Defense will refund only the product purchase price, minus any applicable restocking fees. 

 

RESTRICTIONS

It is the customer's responsibility to know the laws in his or her jurisdiction prior to purchasing Southern Defense products.

No product offered for sale by Southern Defense will be knowingly shipped or transferred to a person in any jurisdiction where it is unlawful to receive or possess such product.

The following states have restrictions on ammunition and magazines:

  • Alaska
    • No direct sales of ammunition to AK residents.
  • California
    • No direct sales of ammunition CA residents, unless:
      • Purchasing individual is exempt from CA state law. If you are NOT exempt, all sales must be shipped to an FLL for transfer. 
        • Exemptions include: active LEO, active Peace Officers, and FFL Holders (including type 03)
    • No direct sales of ammunition magazines and/or feeding devices over 10 rounds. 
  • Colorado
    • No direct sales of ammunition magazines and/or feeding devices over 15 rounds.
  • Connecticut
    • A valid/not expired Connecticut Carry Permit or Ammunition Certificate.
  • Hawaii
    • No direct sales of ammunition to HI residents.
  • Illinois
    • Illinois residents must provide a copy of your valid FOID Card or Valid Concealed Carry License AND their IL driver’s license or IL state Identification card to purchase ammunition. The ammunition may be shipped only to an address on either of those 2 documents.
  • Maryland
    • No direct sales of ammunition magazines and/or feeding devices over 10 rounds.
  • Massachusetts
    • A valid/not expired LTC (Firearms License to Carry).
  • New Jersey
    • A valid/not expired Firearms Purchase ID or FPID
    • No direct sales of ammunition magazines and/or feeding devices over 10 rounds.
  • New York
    • No direct sales of ammunition magazines and/or feeding devices over 10 rounds.
    • Purchased ammunition must be shipped to a valid FFL holder OR a registered seller of ammunition.
  • Washington D.C. 
    • No direct sales of ammunition to DC residents.
